There’s been a lot going on behind the scenes here at Water Wally H.Q. We’ve been busy building our team and building our resources all the while working on various projects and ideas. And we’re ready to jump into the next part of the journey with our new website and our new look – although it’s much, much more than just a new look. Mo and Lukey on the job – building our new (from second-hand materials) composting loo at Water Wally HQ. Our core values and goals in contributing to a sustainable future remain as they always have been (and always will be!). But we’ve taken a leap of faith in growing Water Wally so that we can reach more people looking to join the journey towards a sustainable future and conserving our most precious resource – water. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who’s joined us on the journey so far. Everyone who has supported Water Wally to help us get to where we are now. Everyone who’s bought a composting toilet from us and turned your waste into compost. Everyone who’s bought a greywater system from us and saved your water from going down the drain. And everyone who’s been in touch to discuss your plans for leaving a smaller footprint. Thanks for your support! Double Rainbow! It never matters how busy you are – there’s always time to pose for a photo in front of a lovely rainbow. Since we first began our journey with Water Wally in 2013 we’ve helped thousands of people all across Australia to become more self-sufficient and less reliant on town infrastructure by using waterless composting toilets and recycling greywater. When we stop to think about it, that equates to hundreds of thousands of litres of water being saved each year and a whole shitload (pun intended!) of human waste being turned into lovely compost! It’s been hard work and we’ve learnt a lot along the way. And that’s why we’ve decided to take this leap of faith – to be able to share our experience. We say thanks to everyone who’s supported Water Wally along the way because it’s your support of our small business which has made it possible for us to grow. And as we grow, we can produce more resources and inspirational examples of sustainable wastewater management setups that we can share with all of Australia and the rest of the world. Every time someone chooses to join Water Wally on our journey, we know it is another toilet that’s not being flushed. Or another garden that’s being irrigated with water that would have otherwise been wasted. But not only that. Every time someone chooses to support our business, it helps us spread the good word and encourage others to be mindful of what happens with their wastewater. A load of our popular EZ Grey, Greywater Diversion systems ready to be utilised in gardens all across Australia! It’s been a long journey for me already. But at the same time, I feel like it’s just beginning. It’s time for us to take the leap and really start the change of people’s mindsets toward our waste and our water.
