Remote Toilet and Shower Facilities

Places don’t get much more remote than Silvergull Creek, 150km north of Derby. The Dambimangari people look after a massive area of land and wanted toilets and showers that would let them stay for weeks, even months on their traditional country, and also to cater for tourists that want to visit.

Anthony and a team of local rangers choppered in with the materials to construct two toilets and two showers. Fed with water from a natural spring the ablutions block was constructed in just over a week. While onsite, the Water Wally team realised the original wastewater manmagment plan wasn’t exactly right and, in consulation with the traditional owners, were able to switch and create a more appropriate drainage solution – and still fit in some fishing.
